Wood shredder MK-170TR PRO of disk type is designed for processing and recycling by shredding branches, rods, duplexes, lamellas and other wood waste. The wood chipper turns the raw material into technological chips. Up to 90% of the resulting chips will have a size of 5 ... 60 mm, 10% - a free size, when crushing thin branches, an increase or decrease in the fraction is possible. The size of the chips is not regulated and mainly depends on the type of source material. The MK-170TR PRO wood chipper is able to cut branches up to 17 cm in diameter, depending on the humidity and the type of wood. Ready chips can be used for heating in solid fuel and pyrolysis boilers, fireplaces, stoves and other heating appliances.

Wood chips can also be used as plant mulch or fertilizer. With further processing, wood chips can be used to produce fuel pellets or granules.

The working body MK-170TR PRO is a disk with 4 knives on it, on the opposite side of the disk there are blades that create the necessary air pressure to supply chips to the unloading funnel. The knives are made of steel 55VTsrV8, which significantly extends the service life of the chopper knives. Without fail, the knives undergo a heat treatment process on a modern HF-INDUCTION HEATING unit. The productivity of the chipper MK-170TR-B is 12 m3 of finished wood chips per hour. Productivity directly depends on the quality of preparation of raw materials and the number of personnel involved in the work.

The MK-170TR PRO wood chipper is powered by the tractor PTO and mounted on a standard three-point hitch. The minimum required tractor power to work with a chopper is 50 hp. To connect the tractor to the chopper, we recommend using a class T5 cardan shaft with a friction clutch that protects the chopper and tractor from overload. The wood chipper has a discharge funnel that allows you to change the direction of the flow of chips in two planes and rotates 360˚. By lifting the chopper on the fluid coupling, you can increase the loading height. The loading hopper is equipped with a transparent PVC curtain to protect the operator from chips during operation.
